while working to add quotes to #Mammuthus, i noticed the following with #Pachli 3.3.0.
It looks to me, that Pachli is removing the "quote-inline" paragraph from the post before displaying it.
And Pachli seems to do this even when no [quote] element is existing.
Wouldn't it be more secure to just remove the "quote-inline" paragraph when a proper and valid [quote] element is existing?
@nick @pachli @nikclayton did you ever figure this out and get QP support in Mammuthus?
This is about two different topics.
The display issue in #Pachli, what should have been fixed by Nik / Pachli team.
And supporting quote posts in #Mammuthus. Here i'm still working on it (following "FEP-044f: Consent-respecting quote posts"). Currently Mammuthus should be able to handle incoming notes, that include a quoted note. And it should be also possible to quote (newer) posts originated from a Mammuthus instance. Allowing Mammuthus to create a post with a quote is still work in progress, together with #Mastodon compatible client #API endpoints. And i assume, still a lot of testing and quality assurance... ;-)
