State of #GNOME UX: almost twenty years in and IMHO worse than ever. The human interface guidelines were imposed top-down and you can see it; in general nothing makes sense either for new or established users and yet people "at the top" seem convinced they are doing the right thing for the people.

@liaizon yeah, totally. I wrote this on Friday after fussing with some new (to me) GNOME apps while trying to accomplish a task, frustrated by the lack of labels, keyboard shortcuts and overall features. I found it unposted today and decided to hit send to record the moment, but it is true that a lot of GNOME software is great.
